“Plano Rockin’ Christmas” is all about reaching out to many of the businesses, families and individuals in the Plano area to help with collections and donations. All donations will be received by many of the Plano area families, elderly and individuals in need of some extra assistance during this Holiday Season.

What is Rockin’ Christmas?

Rockin' Christmas takes place every December in Plano - this year Friday December 4th, 5th & 6th. Individuals and businesses rock in rocking chairs for donations beginning Friday evening all the way through Saturday afternoon (over night).

The Rockin’ Christmas event is a way for the community to come together and help with the collection of non-perishable food items and paper goods and monetary contributions.

All donations will be received by many of the Plano area families, elderly and individuals in need of some extra assistance during this Holiday Season. Let's help make their Holiday a little brighter and fulfilling. These donations will go a long way and will help put wonderful smiles on their faces!!!

In addition to the donations, Rockin’ Christmas helps to bring the Plano Community together to enjoy many of the family events held downtown Plano at the Depot beginning Friday evening through Saturday afternoon - during this time donations flow in.

After the events on Saturday many volunteers begin the sorting of all the donations collected and Sunday the volunteers help in the delivery of the donations to all the families, elderly and individuals we have been asked to assist.

Many of the Plano businesses take part in donating monies to purchase turkeys, ham, milk and butter - Wal-Mart has been a very strong supporter of this event every year.

  • The Plano Depot, 101 Main Street (Only during Event on December 4th & 5th)
  • Plano Area Chamber of Commerce, 7050 Burroughs Avenue (Lower Level - Old Second Bank,)
  • Lakewood Springs South Clubhouse on Mitchell Drive - From 8:30 to 4:30 daily
  • Cooper Home Furnishings, 112 West Main Street  (only during their Open House on Saturday, December 5 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm)
  • Wal-Mart Supercenter, 6800 West Route 34
                                  (Only on Saturdays & Sundays)
  • Castle Bank, 505 West Route 34
  • Citizens 1st National Bank, 11500 East Route 34
